ABOUT

KammerMahler is a professional, daring and mobile chamber orchestra like no other. Founded in 2013 by the current Artistic Director and Conductor, Caleb Young, KammerMahler has been pushing the expectations of the orchestra medium. The orchestra specializes in performing large scale symphonic works in a chamber orchestra setting. These pieces have been arranged for KammerMahler's symphonette instrumentation. This provides audiences with opportunities to engage with these works from a fresh perspective. KammerMahler is also providing an opportunity to hear pieces that are normally not programmed by the majority of symphony orchestras due to their size. Working with living composers in also a critical part of KammerMahler. With the combination of past masterworks and new music, KammerMahler offers an exciting artistic experience.  The orchestra is currently hosted by the Jacobs School of Music in Bloomington, Indiana.
